Irina Maria Peterson

Irina Maria Peterson is an entrepreneur, explorer, an environmental activist and ocean lover based in Monaco. She is co-founder and CEO of “Broth By Design” (www.brothbydesign), a successful nutritional supplements business in United States, founded and managed by women and dedicated to making wellbeing and quality nutrition available to everyone.

Having worked in finance and wealth management industry for over two decades, Irina has shifted her focus to the preservation of the environment and in particular in Ocean protection Via her Ocean Amazon platform, Irina hopes to raise awareness on the huge environmental issues affecting our ocean and our planetary health. Auto-proclaimed an “imperfect activist”, Irina spent five weeks at the start of 2020 researching and revealing the plastic pollution in Galapagos and Easter Island, and navigating in between, as part of the expedition crew – a women-only group. Irina is getting ready to be part of another scientific exploration in the Mediterranean, this October, collecting samples of contaminants and microplastics for important research institutes.

Irina would like to share her journey as an Imperfect Activist and how each one of us can make a difference and why we should!
